A cool question time thing with Ville Valo:)...

The People  vs. Ville Valo!

It's with much trepidation that HIM's Ville Valo gazes at the sheat of paper being forced upon him. The Finnish singer runs his eyes down the list of questions that K! readers have sent him. A few words leap out imediately : sex, underage sex, sex and more sex. you dirty buggers.!!

The 29 yr old  king of love metal is in london for a few days to fulfill his role as guest editor of KERRANG!. Displaying an instinctive grasp of the qualities required to excel as a mag editor, he turned up at 2pm, took one look round the office and said "should we go down the pub.". which is why were now sitting in a gothically themed den called Bens Crouch's Tavern, just off just off oxford street. As we talk, a bank of TV screens is showing classic vampire flick 'Nosferatu' with the sound off.

We show him the list of questions. There's a long sigh before he eyes the bar and suggests that a pint of stella might not be such a bad thing. In 10mins time jus 3 questions later, he'll be after another one. -and thats before being told his bands crap and that he wouldn't be successful unless girls fancied him. This could get ugly.

1. By what motto do yo live your life?

Ville: "A friend gave ,me a t-shirt that says, 'live fast and die young.' I think it's better to drive at medium speed and live life as old as u fucking can."

2.  If you absolutly had to make love to one member of the band who would it be?

"Hello, hmmmm.......I think it would probably be Linde (guitar). He's the least hairy in the band so it wouldn't be as bad. He's also got a lovely arse. My imgination isn't strong enough to deal with doing it with anyone else. They've all got wierd hair -back hair, nipple hair. Thats not exactly what im looking for in a man and i'm not sure they'd wax it off for me."

3. Would you consider a hair transplant or wig if you went bald?

"I've actually been thinking about that. i'd defintely wouldn't wear a wig but i could be tempted by a hair transplant. it's on my mind at the moment; in fact it's why I'm wearing a hat today. I saw a pic of Justin Hawkins recently and he's looking a little thin on top, maybe I'll ask his advise."

4. Some of your fans are quite young. Are you ever tempted to go illegal with them?

"Actually our ex-keyboard player Antto had a policy where he always checked people's ID before he did anything. That got him out of a lot of tricky situations. Our drummer Gas prefurs ladies- how shall I put this -that are in bloom. He likes young innocent ladies. Sometimes it can be a fine line but we make sure he keeps it legal. I've never had any problems myself but you do hear some terrible storie. Some girls look a lot older than they really are. You have to worry about people that like really young girls though. It's a very wierd thing."

4. Your the most famous in the band. Do the otherd get annoyed?

"I'm the wrong person to be ask that question. We've talked about it and I dont think they mind me doing the interviews because Linde doesn't talk alot and  Mige(bass) is very psychedelic when it comes to verbalisum! We were the 3 founding members of the band and Burton and Gas haven't been around as long. So it's hard for them to talk about the history of the band. I'm the sole songwriter too, so they probably cant talk about lyrics actually, they probably fucking hate me."

5. If the girls didn't fancy you would the band be F****d?

"Ha Ha! Great Question! seeing that I'm engaged and the keyboard player, guitarist and bassist are all married. I'd hope the drummer would get fucked . Thats the only answer your getting."

6. Do you really like all that smoking and Drinking? I bet you prefur a quite night in with cocoa?

"Cocoa? What's that? Is that.....(emits loud sniffing noise)? oh, hot chocolate. Let's say the demons of rock and roll drag me out every night I'd rather be in with the cocoa. It's not a possibility though. The spirit of Ozzy keeps dragging me out night after night."

7. One of the kids I teach got a Heartagram tattoo the other day. His parents went mental. How do you plead?

"Fuck it, blame me. It's a more possitive tattooto have on your body than a lot of other things. I am really pround of the Heartagram. It's like our own Nike 'swoosh'. I'm not trying to make money out of it; it just represents the band and our music. Plus, I think it's wrong when people blame musicians for things they've done after listening to a song. There are other things to look at and often it's the parents."

8. Ever wish Bam Margera would f**k off?

"Dear Brett, you have to remember that Bam and I are friends. If you're rude to Bam, you're rude to me because i consider him to be a brother. He's also helped us out a lot in America too so. Brett, the answers no."

9. Lots of people on your myspace page claim they would die for you. Ever been tempted to get them to prove it?

"I died for black sabbath and I'd die for them again. Our fans are very loyal though, and thats scares me sometimes."

10. If you could find the people that spiked your drink in Minneapolis, what would u do to them?

"I'd probably ask for my cell phone back. Everythings a lesson, though but, as the Americans say 'whatever'. Luckily nothing worse happened than they stole a few things from me. What pisses me off is there are people in the world who would do things like that."

11. When you get mobbed by teenage girls do you enjoy it or hate it. I know i'd enjoy it...

"How old is he?...24....Oh dear, John, you've got problems. I think you should see a Shrink, thats not healthy. I do apprechiate the attention but not in that way. The best flowers are the ones that have matured, if you know what i mean. That's not a reference to my guitar players arse either."

12. Would you ever consider go back to working in the sex shop?

" To be brutally honest, I have been thinking of going back. Sometimes you get tierd of all the travelling. My daddy and I were talking about expanding the business, so maybe i'll go back to working with him. HIM workks as a big advertisment for my daddy; thr shops much more popular now because everyone wants to visit it. The problem is that the people jus go n look and don't bloody buy anything. That's not the best thing for a porn shop; you've got to sell the dildo's to make a living."

13. How well do you take critics?

"I don't mind as long as it has a basis in fact or intelligence. If you haye us thats fine. I don't understand criticism that isn't constructive, though I remeber one gig in Finland. A bunch of black metal kids bought tickets just to spit on us. Why waste you money to do that?"

14. How rich are you? Can you buy me a car?

"Well I might be able to depending on the price. A £10.000 car? No cahnce. I've spent all my money on my girlfriend."

15. Whats the wierdest place you've ever had sex?

"On the street. It was nighttime but there was a lot of people walking past. Was it any good well lets just say it was hasty. I had a big coat on that was trying to cover us up with. I don't think anybody noticed but, to be honest that wasn't what i was concentrating on."

16. Does it worry you that a lot of people don't think your very good?

"Not really. We're just starting out. At the moment, I think we're still mediocre. We have the potential to be great, though. Actually that was a bit to Diplomatic. 'Fuck off.' would be more appropriate."

17. I once saw you at a gig in New York and you were shit-faced  can I have my money bck?

"Fuck off, would you want your money bck if you had seen Iggy Pop flashing his balls? I doubt it. Yes I've fucked up a few gigs but thats better than people who fuck up thier lives doing nine to five jobs . I do remember that gig -well ,vaugely - and she can have her money back if she likes but only beacause Dave Wyndorf from monster magnet said it was the besst gig he'd seen in 10 yrs."

18. How much do u smoke?

"Per-day? I've actually cut down to about 50 per day but i used to smoke about 100 (OMFG). My coughs my trademark now. I only have to cough when i'm checking into a hotel and they know who I am!"

19. I heard a rumour that your gay. Is it true?

"Unfortunately I'm not. I'm in love with venus and i'm very happy. I think gay people are much better at expressing themselves, though. They have much better freedom of though in my experience."

20. There's a petition going around on the internet to create a national 'Ville Valo day.' what would you get everybody to do on Ville day?

"Just one day? I wan't a whole week. I'd probably get everybody to do some hard drugs on Ville week. Would I advocate that for everyone that would be interesting."

21. Any Chance of you doing a photoshoot with your clothes on for once.?

"That's a bit harsh! If you wan't me to wear more clothes, then send me some you motherfucker. I'm jus trying to make people happy....."

Get this right 2 weeks before my friends Band gig thing. he says i hate the fucking bass player he's a twat and then he asks his borhter to take over his position when they go on stage he chucks his borhter off and says he'll handle it well unless he's got 8 arms that pretty fucking difficult cause he plays guitar and is lead vocals and the drummers busy and his pathetic excuse was threes a crowd. his band have been slated as Babyshit bollox ever since cant say i like my friends singing voice either considering he muffed up Wings of a Butterfly. come on love stick to your day job.
